Yorkshire Street You make me think about the old days, Colours all over the walls, And a pen under the pillow Waiting for the pennies to fall. There’s a tree under the doorway, A piece of paper on the light, Under which I am a woman Living in the middle of the night, Until I find myself weaken For the time I saw you neatly, With your fingertips open, Rearrange my hair, oh. If I’d known I’d be nostalgic I would’ve listened to your heartbeat With a little more attention, I would’ve known you were mine. Now all I have is hindsight, And a mirror from the door. I would’ve noticed the occasion, I would’ve given you more, Until I find myself weaken For the time I saw you neatly, With your fingertips open, Rearrange my hair, oh.

Oh, My Friends See, it’s gone away now, The war is over. A war you never knew about Till you ran for cover. I blame the winter, Made me feel the bitter cold. You came alive, I hoped for more. Now the world is open When you are not around, A world you do not know about Since you hit the ground. I blame the winter, Made me see that some things stay the same. Who was there before Is still here today. I called out across the sea. Oh, my friends he did not hear me. Oh, my friends he did not see me, And I don’t remember who I used to be. Once upon a time I made a wish, I made a wish upon a star, And you sent for me. I was there to fall apart. I blame the winter, Made me feel I wouldn’t have it any other way. You closed your eyes So I closed the way. And I called out across the sea. Oh, my friends he did not hear me. Oh, my friends he did not see me, And I don’t remember who I used to be.

Around the Table What's going on around the table Behind that look in his eye? Will he play a part down the line? And will he know her hears will always hide? Is she going there, is she able To meet that look in his eye? Will she hear a truth before a lie, And will she choose to face the test and try? She's going home alone once more. There's no one there when she walks through the door. There's more to play around the table, More to hear from the crowd. They're lost in consultation with a sound, And that's all it's ever going to be about. Is she gonna dare, is she able? She joins another round. Is there anywhere to be but with a crowd, Lost in consultation with a crowd? She's made her own way home before, With no one there when she walks through the door.

I’d Know Your eyes are not the same colour. Your cheeks too red to bear his name. Your shirt’s too tight around your shoulders. I used to think of you every day. I bear temptation in my ordinary soul And you tried to be mine, You said he’d never know. He makes my tea for me in the morning. He taught me how to let it all go. He knows my every contradiction. It took me years to let him know. You seem surprised that I refuse to take you home, After all of the years, You said he’d never know. Your eyes, yeah your eyes Gave up hope, And I watched you go. I like to kiss him and to look him in the eye So he knows he’s not alone, I said that I’d know, yeah, I said that I’d know.

Safe Road Home Save my soul. Answer all my questions before I go, Because I don’t know Whether it’s enough to be alone. I’m free and I’m alive Beyond the shadow of your eyes For my safe road home. My safe road home. Where do you sleep? You are in my thoughts but there’s no face I see, While I have been Everything I thought I’d ever be. You wear your words alone, While I whisper over rocks that I’ve outgrown For my safe road home. My safe road home. Outside this room Whoever does what they’re supposed to do When they’re afraid of you, And they’re stood still to get through? Somewhere down the line I heard the wind and changed my mind For my safe road home. My safe road home.

Your Colour 03:09
Your Colour Your colour is gold. Your eyes are the window to your soul. My spirit knows All the words that I’m searching for to explain How I know you’re an angel. How I know many more of the same. I was lost and confused by a shadow, And found by the words of a sage. Your colour is gold. You know I’m returning from the stars, And I know I’ve been told, But all the time I am learning That it’s been a long time since I met with an angel. I’ve seen a world full of pleasure and pain. I was lost and confused by a shadow, And found by the words of a sage; Are you falling apart? Do you know who you are? It’s never too late to find more of the pieces And feed a growing heart. I look around and all I see now is angels, And whether I’m black or I’m white or I’m grey, There’s someone around to enlighten me With another way. And I'm not falling apart, I can see who you are, I hope you find all of your pieces to feed a growing heart.

Anything Other Waking up to the city Weighted down by a plough I can see that you miss me Taken in by a sound There is no confusion There is only doubt I can see that you're wearing all your wishes Inside out Would you give me a hearing? Would you give me a thought? Are you listening to people? All they do is talk I am an illusion I follow the rules And burn out the candle For a pair of new black shoes. Speak to Kristeva She says I am alive Somewhere beyond the endless words On the other side CHORUS Would you wait to consider Anything other than time, Anything other than I don't care about anything other than mine?
